Meet the Coach

Olympic Fitness Coach has been developed by Chris Mulvaney, a sport scientist with experience in both athletics as a competitor and coach, as well as within strength and conditioning. Chris works with people everyday programming them towards their fitness goals and focuses on fitness within sports performance. He graduated with an honours degree (upper second class) in sport and exercise science and progressed onto a master’s degree in sports biomechanics. Here he focussed on injury prevention and technique analysis during a variety of sporting skills.

Since 2008 he has been actively involved in coaching athletics with experience of coaching running-based events (sprints and endurance), as well as completing work placements as a strength and conditioning coach with a variety of sports clubs including premiership and super league teams such as Wigan Athletic Football Club, Widnes Vikings Rugby League and is currently a fundamental member of the coaching teams with Team Great Britain Dragon Boat Racing as well as developing track athletes where he specialises in middle-distance.
